The traditional inn was rebuilt and the view over Lake Constance is still breathtaking. The terrace and the dining rooms were newly designed.

Das gesamte Areal "Am Kaiserstrand" – lange als Bundesheerkaserne genutzt – steht unter Denkmalschutz. Das Gebäude mit dem markanten Treppengiebel (1910) fand zur ursprünglichen Nutzung zurück und dient heute wieder als Hotel. Teile der Kasernenanlagen aus der NS-Zeit wurden abgebrochen, der Rest wurde saniert und umgenutzt und durch zwei "Residenzen" als Neubauten flankiert. Das hölzerne Badehaus am See komplettiert das Ensemble und dient als Sonnenterrasse und Strandcafé.

100 years ago the beach of the Palasthotel at the Bodensee pleased Kaiser Karl. During the 1940s the ensemble of buildings was used as barracks; now it shines with new gleam.

The versatile wooden box is located on a small leisure island that is connected with the Kaiserstrand via a long bridge. Depending on weather, business and atmosphere it can be either opened or completely closed.

The furniture store along the road to Bregenz attracts attention with its oversized, generous, glazed showcase. The building as an entity is window display, entrance gate and lobby at the same time, and also provides exhibition space for artistic interventions.
