The new effects created by a combination of glass and light make the cultural treasures of the inventory shine. The sanctuary is liturgically used in many ways after the dismantling of the stairs.

The cemetery integrates into the landscape in a pragmatic, simple manner and demonstrates little symbolism. It is open to people from all communities of Vorarlberg who wish to be buried according to Islamic rites.

The neutral funeral parlour is illuminated by light passing through a continuous slit. Texture only originates from the horizontal formwork of the white varnished fair-faced concrete walls on the inside. The entrance area is clad in oak panels and thus constitutes the opposite pole to the boarding of the exposed concrete.

The new buildings with their clear design and reduced materiality are a contrast to the existing buildings. A cross is incised into the front wall of the chapel made of exposed concrete. An urn wall was built parallel to the old cemetery wall. Other features of the cemetery are a well, the walk-through chapel and finally a communal grave.

The refurbishment illuminated the church, and it was refurnished. The pews made of solid oak planks are clustered in the nave and open space is created at its sides. Narrow light slits were milled into the outer walls below the arched windows.

The chapel is located on the crest of the Vordere Niedere Alpe. Two trails lead to the wooden sacral building. Light is only admitted into the interior through a gap which detaches the altar wall from the building.

In the Reichshofstadion Lustenau a gem enriches the sports venue. The mobile, translucent chapel that can be unfolded invites to contemplation.

The arcade for urn graves has been created in the course of the extension of the cemetery as a connection to the whole facility. The level transitions are now terraced and the view and the spatial relationship to the surrounding buildings have been reinforced by the new church square.

Exposed concrete was used for the sharp-edged structure of the mortuary chapel, accompanied by a simple interior made entirely of rough-sawn fir.The extension covers the urn wall and the necessary infrastructure of the cemetery.

The solitary building made of clay is opened by a heavy oak door. Light passes through narrow slits into the funeral parlour, which completely dispenses with decorative accessory.

A cladding of wooden slats defines the glass cube. At night, the room shines like a large lantern and is easily visible from a distance.
