100 years ago the beach of the Palasthotel at the Bodensee pleased Kaiser Karl. During the 1940s the ensemble of buildings was used as barracks; now it shines with new gleam.

The traditional inn has transformed into a simple, modern hotel without borrowing the clichés of rustic and alpine tourist facilities.

The traditional inn makes use of the strengths, qualities and resources of the region. Conventionally produced food and beverages that are supplied by the tradesmen and the suppliers of the Bregenzerwald are used consistently.

The elliptical bathhouse with its comfy, well organised sauna and wellness area is worth a relaxing visit. The new lobby, the restaurant expansion and the bedroom wing should not be missed too.

The „Walserhaus“ is managed by the fourth generation and combines very old building structures and elements from the 60s with the new extension. Ayurveda, the expanded restaurant, the whole food shop, the seminar room and the lobby are formally reduced and assembled with natural materials.

After several periods of growth, the Krone now offers 60 rooms. Between 1998 and 2002 the hotel underwent an expansion that was facilitated quickly by using exclusively pre-assembled guest modules.The façade of the building is formed by transparent vertical blinds and the inside is characterised by the charm of rough sawn wood.

A construction of prefabricated reinforced concrete has been added to the existing restaurant at 1700 m above sea level. The architecture provides a new hotel concept which has been implemented in clear and uncompromising forms with courage and steadfastness.

The beautiful spot on a sunny hillside offers self-catering kitchens to sports enthusiasts and people looking for peace and quiet on the one hand. On the other hand they are provided with the “restless” infrastructure which meets the functional and aesthetic expectations.

The swank and modern sport hotel is situated directly at the lower terminus of the Steffisalp-Cableway. After an extension, it now offers 56 rooms and a wellness oasis.

The new wing is an extension to the existing hotel complex; it is structured by the added layer of balconies made of light wood. It offers spacious rooms and imposing mountain scenery.

The eponymous animal once grazed on this spot. Today this place at the Arlberg is occupied by a space saver which is functional and playful in details.

The Berghaus and Hotel Stützpunkt Bielerhöhe are located within the wild mountain scenery above the lake. Its form clearly relates to the local topography and the dam. It is an individual statement about the building style in the Alps.
